April 2020 - New Release: 2019 The Other Wine Co. Wines 

The Other Wine Co. focuses on ‘other’ places, different varieties and experimentation. We have five new wines from 2019 to show you.

Grenache from 45-year-old bush vines on sand in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale: open ferments in stainless steel as majority whole berries (just 10% whole bunch), maturation in concrete and old puncheons.

Shiraz Pinot Noir from the Adelaide Hills and Tasmania: 51% Shiraz, from Balhannah, 49% Pinot Noir, from the Coal River Valley: fermented seperately in open stainless steels tanks as a combination of whole bunches and berries, basket pressed to old puncheons.

Cabernet Franc from Kangaroo Island: closed stainless steel ferments as whole berries. Gentle extraction, then basket pressed to old barriques and a 1000 litre foudre.

Pinot Noir from Tasmania - Coal Rivery Valley: Fermented in a combination of stainless steel, oak and concrete, as 50% whole bunches and 50% de-stemmed whole berries, and then matured in older oak. 

Pinot Gris from the Adelaide Hills - Lenswood, Charleston and Hahndorf: Fermented on full solids, partly in new 1000 litre French oak foudres and partly in steel; and then matured on lees in older barriques.
